Multi-Gig Internet Supported Modems - Residential Only
Fidelity strives to produce a high level of reliability, stability, and security for our High-Speed Internet Subscribers. As such, we continually evaluate modems on our network for compatibility and performance. The following is a current list of modems that have been certified to work on the Fidelity Multi-Gig Internet high speed internet network.
Fidelity Multi-Gig Internet requires customers to use a DOCSIS 3.1 Modem (DOCSIS = Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification). These modems incorporate the latest technology, can deliver faster Internet speeds, and have a longer expected operational lifetime. Existing customers with older modems using DOCSIS 3 technology will still be able to utilize some Fidelity High-Speed Internet packages but will not be able to utilize the faster High-Speed Internet speed packages without upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. Fidelity strongly recommends customers select DOCSIS 3.1 modems for the best speed performance
Multi-Gig Internet Approved Modems that can do 1 Gbps upload in select markets:
Multi-Gig Internet Supported Telephone/Internet Modems (eMTA)
None Currently supported - Your service may require a phone modem and an internet modem from the list above.
Fidelity Phone Service requires an eMTA to deliver the service.
Note: Fidelity Phone Service is only supported on Arris modems (eMTA) leased from your local Fidelity office.
DSL Modems
Only Cable Modems or eMTAs will work with our network; DSL modems are not compatible.
Purchasing Your Own Modem for Gig Internet Service
If you choose to purchase a modem, Fidelity recommends you purchase a new modem from a reputable source. Second-hand modems may not work properly on Fidelity's network even if listed above. Fidelity reserves the right to refuse service to any modem or modem model which might impair network performance. See the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for details.
